Are you currently Keto or Carnivore?

Carnivore

How long have you been keto/carnivore?

4 months

Describe what a Typical Day of Eating Looks like for you.

A typical day of eating entails two meals, including 3 fried/scrambled eggs cooked in butter and a locally raised ribeye steak with blue cheese and grass-fed butter.

Describe the health changes you have experienced since going keto/carnivore.

Before starting carnivore I suffered with GERD, environmental allergies, anxiety, OCD, low back pain, dry skin and infertility.

All symptoms have either gone completely away or have significantly improved.

The first most noticeable health changes was that heartburn and acid reflux were both gone after one week.

Anxiety was completely gone shortly after, along with the low back pain.

After about 3 months I began to notice that the things that typically would trigger my allergy symptoms no longer had an effect. OCD has significantly improved as well, and I am now experiencing painless menstrual cycles.

Your Keto/Carnivore Story

I was introduced to the ketogenic diet back in 2017 after struggling to conceive. My husband and I went to Dr. Kiltz’s CNY Fertility looking for answers. We went through diagnostic testing with really no evidence as to why it wasn’t happening for us. The Keto Diet was recommended to us and I thought okay, what do we have to lose? Lets try this and see how it goes.

Shortly after initiating the keto diet, I felt amazing. Fantastic really, I got so passionate about this way of eating that it wasn’t just a diet for me, it was a complete lifestyle change.

Back then, I did eat veggies and some fruit but really not all too much. About a year later I fell pregnant naturally, and have a healthy and happy 3 year old daughter today.

When I was 6 months pregnant my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. This was completely devastating and was such a very difficult time for my family. We went from all of us just celebrating my husband and I finally getting pregnant to a complete nightmare. My mother went through so many different treatment plans to only further damage her health. We lost her in the fall of 2020. This was absolutely devastating. I am so thankful that she was there to see the birth of my daughter but also very heartbroken. I often imagine that if my mother was here today, introducing her to the Carnivore lifestyle may have helped her condition. So when people ask why I am so passionate about this way of eating, I can’t stress enough that our health is the most important thing. After losing my mom who was relatively healthy and active, but eating a pretty standard American diet with a lot of vegetables, I want to share my story to help people lead healthier and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Kiltz has inspired me so much. I have watched his videos for many years, and finally, I decided to go full carnivore. It has been completely life-changing. I have always struggled with anxiety, OCD, GERD, environmental allergies, and infertility. Shortly into eating nothing but meat, eggs, cream, salt, butter, and water, everything was either GONE or significantly improved. It is simply incredible!

Your body doesn’t respond to restriction. Your body responds to love.

What is the best (or top 3) pieces of advice you could give someone starting their keto/carnivore health journey?

Some of the best advice that I can provide is to always stick to your why.

We always have a reason to start something new. What are your reasons and your why.

Never lose track of that. It will keep you stay strong and on the right path. It can help to write it down–place a sticky note in a place that you pass by frequently such as the refrigerator.

Always be prepared with the proper foods so you don’t fall off track. Often times we don’t have the proper food available or possibly when at a social gathering and when hunger strikes we may reach for that quick and easy bite. If at a social gathering or a party be prepared by eating before the event. Most times carnivore friendly foods will be available such as meat and cheese platters. If you do happen to slip up and get off track there’s no need to get discouraged, just look ahead and pick it back up the very next day.

Limit stress and surround yourself with positivity everyday. As hard as that might be at times always try to view situations in a positive manner.
